I don't know about you but, I personally have an issue with certain types of speech on the internet.

The thing that bothers me are things like... speaking in 3rd person, not being bothered to capitalize anything, chat speak, horrific run on sentences, baby talk, ect. Seriously I would just like to read something and not have it sound like a 7 year old wrote it when you're far older than that, or become confused by what they're trying to say. Seriously, no one should have to read your sentence 3 times just to understand what you're trying to say.

Now, I'm no grammar nazi. I'm not bothered by misspellings, missed punctuation, typos or anything like that if it doesn't happen too often. I'm certainly not perfect in that aspect. I just want people to at least attempt to be reasonably legible.

Sure yeah, it's the internet, if you want to look at it that way, that's great for you. Though personally, I at least like to show some level of maturity to people I meet, be it on the internet or real life. The internet is just as real an interaction as interacting with someone in person.

Something I was thinking, why do some people care so much about favorites?

I see so many artists complain about no one commenting when they fave, sometimes kind of aggressively things like 'don't bother faving unless you comment' and I really wonder what all the fuss is about.

Sure, it's nice to know -why- someone faved something, but I mean, will it really hurt you or your art if they never comment? For example, I'm a rather busy person and yes, I will fave things without commenting, why? Many reasons.
Either I'm too busy to think of a comment at the time, but I would like to make note of the piece either to share with others or maybe to comment on later, or sometimes I just can't think of anything worth saying than 'that's awesome!' or something to that effect, which I feel really isn't worth posting (since so many artists I see complain about -that- too ¬_¬ )

I mean seriously, be reasonable, I say. And sure, some people fave your doodles and sketches, frustrating when you have a piece you spent hours on that barely gets a comment or a fave. Sure it baffles me too but, it happens. I appreciate what I get even if they're one word comments or a fave, for a watch with no comments or faves at all. I mean, look at it this way, you could get nothing at all.

Anywho, it was just on my thoughts, it was something that was bothering me.

In other news, I've been trying to do more traditional pieces, I haven't touched my colored pencils and markers in some time, so I wanted to work with them. Also, I lub pixel art.

First off, new icon gift from ^-^

Okay so, if you haven't guessed, I've been back from my vacation for some time now. I've been feeling a lot more productive as of late, and have been trying to finish things that I've had maybe like, half done for a long time now. It's nice to get things finished.

Heh I've had a lot of people interested in my pixel icons as of late, so I thought I'd make some notices about that.

My availability for commissions in general fluctuates a lot, sometimes I get really busy, heck, sometimes I just know wither or not I'll be able to do it, so if you want to know if I can take a commission, just give me a note or IM me.

I can only take a small amount at a time, so like maybe one or two commissions. This just keeps me from feeling overwhelmed, and I think it just makes everything go smoother. That and just in case I have a lot of errands to do or something unforeseen, I don't have backup.

As far as price goes, prices for my 100x100 icons are 7$ for 1 and 10$ for 2, and so on.
Pixel works larger than that will be priced once I know what you would like and how large.

It's been really crazy for me this past month, I fell into bad spot of sorts.. I got into an accident last week in November, so I've spent most my time pre-occupied with those events. But this also kinda caused a major decline in my art, even little sketches I didn't have time to do.

It's finally started to settled, and I have a new car now.
BUT BOY OH BOY DO I NEED THIS VACATION.

Okay so, my prisma marker set is kinda dyeing, I've had to replace a few, and I was considering just getting a whole new marker set

I've recently moved into my own apartment ^^
It's been real nice, things are still kinda crazy though, lot of errands I had to run to get things settled.
So much closer to work, I love it so.

Does anyone really pay attention to my scraps? If so, I'll do a massive sketch dump to my scraps of the stuff I like the most, goodness knows I have a lot of it.

As far as other art goes, hopefully more sprite trades to do...

So as you can see in my most recent deviations, I've finally submitted and made public the details of my Gemhorn Dragons

This is a dragon species I've had with me for years, since I had first drawn it in 1997.

It has changed a little over the years. I defined it as a species, and also changed the body shape a bit (they're supposed to have a very dinosaur-like look) They also kinda got smaller.

While the idea of a... translucent horn seems to be a bit far-fetched, maybe even a bit silly, well dangit I was 12 at the time! haha so they kinda hold a lot of childhood memories for me ^-^

For those that want to up some Gemhorn Characters (would really be cool if you did!) Let me know if you do! I'd love to see them!
Also, feel free to ask me questions!
I find when others work on their own characters for a species, it brings up things you never thought of, or something you realise you need to work on and define, and helps really refine a species... which is why I'm very open to others creating characters using my species (AS LONG AS YOU GIVE CREDIT!)

I'll make a list or something of any and all characters that have been created from any of my species... hehe ^^

Sorry, I'm just really bad about updating my DA journal

Things have been a bit busy, with a new job and all, but it's been leading to good things.
I'm working on getting my own apartment, it's slow coming, but that's alright. The idea right now is to pay off my car before I move out. One less bill to worry about!

I've been getting totally addicted to pixels! It's been a lot of fun!
I also really love making bracelets, it's simple and enjoyable. I mostly just love mixing beads, different colors, seeing how it works. yeah..

I need to remember to stash my sketches, it's so easy for me to forget because it's so much easier to just upload them to my LJ Stash.
I have SO much stuff I'm working on, I just need to finish it!
